The ultimate goal of the Indiana School for the Deaf is to provide a comprehensive student activities program that will meet the needs of the school, community, and our students. ISD provides a wide range of various student activities to meet our student’s interests and to further increase the students feeling of self-respect and self esteem.

Our student activities program also accommodates the diversities of our student body. The willingness of everyone from staff to parents to allow new and innovative ideas and activities enables our students to meet their needs and interest. The student activity program provides students with the necessary outlets that enable them to become well-rounded students in today’s society.

The student activities program at ISD provides strong extracurricular and co-curricular activities.  This allows students to learn to balance academic and extracurricular responsibilities through participation in athletics, clubs, student organizations and social events. As an extension of the educational process, the activities program provides opportunities for intellectual, emotional, ethical, physical, and social growth.
