Athletics: Volleyball: 2006 Junior Varsity Volleyball: Recap

September 28: Eminence
It was our second home game, so naturally the girls were nervous. We played against North Decatur, and our team played beautifully. Everyone remained positive. Due to insufficent varsity players, we played with their JV team and lost both matches.

September 27: Ritter
On Wednesday we played against Ritter. It was our second to last home game. Our middle blocker was out sick this week, and we had to work harder to cover that position. There was a lot of confusion on the court during both games. We lost 8 - 25 in both games.

September 20: Edinburgh
The JV girls played against Edinburgh last night. In the first game they started off very well. We were in the lead. The girls tensed up and made some foolish serve-receive errors. We lost 12 to 25. In the second game we were fired up and played very well. However, we lost 20-25. We made a lot of statistics as a team with 12 aces and 4 kills.

September 19: Northwest
We traveled to Northwest and played 3 games against them. We had a slow beginning with a lot of foolish mistakes. We lost 9-25 in the first match. In the second, we built our confidence and didn't let the ball touch the floor. We also had less serving errors. We won 25-23. We started off the third game pretty well. But, in the end Northwest proved that they were the better team of the night.

September 12: Heritage Christian
We played against Heritage Christian in their territory. They were too quick for us. We didn't get to do a full 6 rotation in the first match

September 7: Sheridan
We played against Sheridan last night. In the first game we were a little off and couldn't catch up with them 9-25. In th second game we gave them a good fight. Our front row players played very well. We couldn't maintain our lead and lost the game 18 to 25.

August 30: Lapel
The team struggled with our new rotation, but the girls picked up well. They did very good by lost the matches.

August 22: North Decatur
It was our second home game, so naturally the girls were nervous. We played against North Decatur, and our team played beautifully. Everyone remained positive. Due to insufficent varsity players, we played with their JV team and lost both matches.
