Athletics: MS Volleyball: 2007 Middle School Volleyball: Recap    

October 15: Indianapolis Independent Schools League (IISL)

October 10: Lynhurst

We traveled to Lynhurst for our last regular game of the 2007 season. We won easily by the scores of 25-11 and 25-15. In the league, the record is 11-0 and overall season record is 14-2. The IISL league tournament games will be this Monday in the Caskey Gym.

October 9: St. Richards

St. Richards came over to play on our home court in the Caskey Gym. It was a good experience for the girls to taste the court of the HS volleyball team. We played good and won by the scores of 25-22 and 25-20. We let the benchwarmers to play a lot and we made great defense moves & serves. We beat all of our league teams. Our team is currently undefeated and having a perfect season, 11-0 in the league.

October 6: Chapel Hill Tourney

We went to Chapel Hill for a 8th grade tournament along with 3 other schools (Carmel, Plainfield & Chapel Hill). We played against Carmel at 9:00 in the morning which girls were accustomed to it. We played awfully and lost by the score of 10-25. In the 2nd game we woke up and almost won the game by the score of 23-25. We scared them quite a bit. Off we went to consolation game against Chapel Hill; we beat them easily by the score of 25-12. In the 2nd game we made few careless mistakes but won the game by the score of 25-22. We came in the 3rd place. We played great :). Thanks to the parents who came & supported us.

October 4: Heritage Christian

We are still undefeated in our league, 10-0! Heritage Christian was one of our toughest games but this year seemed to be their down year. We beat them very good, 25-10. The second game servings were really good and we moved a lot in defense; we won easily by the score of 25-12.

October 2: Sycamore

Sycamore came for another match. In the first game, we played slow but won 25-23. In the 2nd game we fired up and won 25-15.

September 27: Kingsway Christian

The Kingsway Christian team came to our home court. We played quite pretty slow with careless errors made but at the end we came back and served to win, 25-24. We played better in the 2nd game and won 25-21. The current record is 9-1 but in our league we are seeded #1 with 8-0 record.

September 25: Carmel

Carmel traveled to our court for the first time. Our 2 starters were sick and there were some changes. We played a great game. I was very proud of them. The first game was 17-25; then in the 2nd game we came back with few points down and finished the game with 20-25. It was our first loss of the season.

September 20: Sycamore

We traveled to Sycamore for a volleyball game. We have a few who are injured and sick but we managed to win 25-20 in the first game and second game. I let the bench players to play a lot and we came back to win 25-20. We are still undefeated (8-0). We will be playing against Carmel here this Tuesday. It will be a good game for you to watch and it would be an experience for our girls. Also, we are scheduled to play against Carmel for the first time.

September 18: International

International School team traveled to our Deaf Hoosiers’ KRC for another match. First game 25-23, 2nd game 25-22 and 3rd game 15-9. We made a lot of errors but managed to stay calm and come back. Great experience for the girls.

September 13: Bethesda Christian

We traveled to Bethesda Christian. Our warm ups were great and the girls were very ready but the first game, we were stunned and we lost 24-25. We managed to come back with serving lead and won 25-12. We had to play the third game and it was a nerve-wrecking game, They crawled to tie the score and we made a few careless mistakes but came back with a beautiful kill and won 15-14. The girls played awesomely great.

September 11: Park Tudor

Park Tudor, one of our long time rivals, traveled to our home site. We were very pumped up and ready to play. We played slow but a very nice game with great digs made. We won 25-17. In the 2nd game, the girls played with great constant serves and digs and won 25-12.

September 6: International

We traveled to International School of Indiana. We started out slow but managed to come back with quite good serves and won 25-17. Then on to the 2nd game, it was a close game and with our errors. We came back to win with good defense plays and won 25-21.

September 4: Traders Point

We beat Traders Point by 25-15, 25-11. We played a great game. They were down at the beginning due to a long Labor Day weekend. they fired up with well spirited benchwarmers and we managed to come back and win it as for the 2nd game, we took the lead.
